National Honor Society

National Honor Society members are a selective group of individuals in grades 10-12. Induction takes place in the Spring.

Candidates of NHS are required to have a cumulative grade point average of 90 or above. Those students will receive an application in the Spring and need to demonstrate qualities of leadership, scholarship, character, and service. There is a faculty/staff rating system, which the Faculty Council takes into consideration while making their selection decisions.

Members are required to achieve ten hours of community service per year.
Members participate in service projects such as: tutoring, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day flower fundraisers, and two Red Cross blood drives. Each year a different service project is chosen.

In order to retain membership, a student must maintain an average of 90 or above, and not fall below the standards of character, service or leadership set forth in both the National NHS of Secondary Schools and TOW Hadarondah Chapter of NHS.
