The Office of the New York State Comptroller began a district audit at the Town of Webb UFSD in early 2016. The Comptroller’s office is routinely auditing all school districts across the state. The Board of Education welcomed this audit and the information that is produced through the process and documented in the final report.
The audit identified that “District officials did not ensure that the District's unrestricted fund balance was within the statutory limit.” The Board of Education will continue with a corrective action plan, per the recommendations of the state auditors addressing the needs for continued improvement as identified in the audit.
