Dear Town of Webb Union Community:
It is with pleasure
that I inform you of a Student Art
Exhibition to be held at VIEW.
The Opening Reception for this show will be Saturday May 5, from 1-3pm. This is an exciting event providing
9-12 grade artists the opportunity to share the incredible artwork they have
been creating over the past year.
The students and myself hope that this show is as outstanding as the
Gallery 3040 student show coordinated last year, my first year teaching at Town
of Webb. The show was exceptional
with brilliant work to discuss and enjoy as a community. All are invited to view this second
annual student show. Please bring
our little elementary artists too!
They always love to see what the “big kids” are working on. Mark your calendars and we hope you
find the time to attend this Opening Reception with us.
High school students
will be sharing a total of approximately 40 drawings, digital photography,
ceramic pieces, watercolor, and acrylic paintings. Students will be working over the next few weeks to create
new work and prepare it for professional display at VIEW. It has been a pleasure working with
Curator, Linda Weal organizing this show.
I thank all other staff involved for serving as an influential resource
and making this show happen for the kids.
In advance, I thank the community for showing their support of the Fine
Arts at the Opening Reception.
In conclusion, I am
incredibly pleased with the artwork these young artists have been creating over
the past year. Students have
participated in several regional and even national shows already this year and
now look forward to sharing their work locally with you. These artists are truly learning each
day to view their world creatively, critically, and with open eyes. My hope is to continually provide
opportunities such as this to the children of the Town of Webb.
